Colleen’s Book Reviews – “Catling’s Bane”

Colleen’s review of this wonderful book is spot on!

Myths of the Mirror

Catling’s Bane is FREE today and tomorrow on Amazon.
If you have a hankering for a little fantasy, it’s a great time to tuck a copy away.

It’s been a wonderful week for this book, and the timing of Colleen Chesebro’s kind review couldn’t have been better. Colleen is the author of The Heart Stone Chronicles, a YA paranormal fantasy series. I encourage readers to browse her site and check out her books.  I send her hugs and smiles through the airways for taking the time to read, review, and share Catling’s Bane on her blog. Doing a happy dance.

Here’s Colleen’s review:

It is the darkest night, and the city of Mur-Vallis is shrouded in fog. Raker, the slant-eyed, three-fingered half-fen, half-human loiters near the dock as if possibly summoned there by the mysterious luminescence that flows through the rivers and streams of the planet. Before this night is done…

Open Book Blog Hop – 8th January

So happy to share Stevie’s interview with The Story Reading Ape….this is one funny, furry fellow…and a good guy to boot!

Stevie Turner

For this week’s blog we have to interview somebody we follow or admire.

2.  Whereabouts in the world do you live?

I currently live in East Sussex, England, but I don’t originate from there (big furry pointy fanged grin).

Zoe’s New Year’s Eve…

Chris The Story Reading Ape's Blog

Zoe’s New Year’s Eve

My name is Zoe, I’m a cat, and I’m here today to talk to you about New Year resolutions. I’m an indoor cat so I don’t get out all that much, but I have, on occasion, managed to escape the confines of my imprisonment. The warden . . . that is, my human, Emily . . . is not as all-knowing as she thinks she is. Anyway, back to resolutions.

This past New Year’s Eve, while the humans in my household were wearing funny-looking paper hats and engaging in silly human behavior, I made the “great escape.” I wanted to see my friends, Burt and Bella. Burt is a street cat, and Bella is a neighborhood dog and my best friend. Yes, I know; cats and dogs aren’t supposed to like one another.
